About Commodity Plus

The intelligence layer for African commodity trade.

Commodity Plus is verified trade and compliance infrastructure for African commodities. It connects international buyers with inspected, contract-grade agricultural and mineral supply from 14 African markets — bringing structured demand, benchmark-referenced pricing, independent inspection, and escrow-protected settlement into a single platform.

Why we built it

African origins produce world-class commodities. The trade around them has been opaque, unverified, and hard to finance.

International buyers struggle to find supply they can trust. Suppliers struggle to prove quality, meet tightening compliance rules, and get paid on time. The result is friction that pushes value out of the origin countries that create it.

Commodity Plus exists to make that trade legible — to buyers, inspectors, regulators, and financiers alike. Every transaction is inspected at source, referenced against published benchmarks, settled under escrow, and carried by a permanent, auditable record.

How it works

One platform, from procurement request to settled, compliant contract.

Structured demand
International buyers publish procurement requests specifying commodity, grade, volume, delivery window, and price range. Verified suppliers respond against clear requirements.
Independent inspection
A certified inspector network grades each lot against international standards at farm level, collection, warehouse intake, and pre-shipment — producing immutable digital certificates.
Escrow-protected settlement
Contracts define fulfilment and inspection milestones. Funds are released against those milestones, so neither side carries the full counterparty risk.
Built-in compliance
EUDR Due Diligence Statements, polygon-grade farm-plot geolocation, an evidence vault, and a catalog of more than 30 regulatory regimes across four tiers.

Who it serves

Every participant in the commodity trade, on one shared record.

  • International buyers sourcing verified African supply
  • Suppliers and aggregators at African origins
  • Inspection companies and certification bodies
  • Processors and value-chain operators
  • Financiers funding trade and working capital
  • Ministries, standards authorities, trade bodies, and embassies

Compliance

Compliance that ships with the trade, not after it.

From EUDR Due Diligence Statements and farm-plot polygons to a 32+ regime catalog, compliance evidence is captured as part of fulfilment rather than reconstructed at the border.
